Welcome to Columbia Academy
Columbia Academy is the area’s ONLY Children’s Fitness & Activity Center. Since 1980 the center has evolved from a competitive girls gymnastics program with 2 instructors and less than 100 students to over 400 students, 25 staff and more than 20 different programs for children walking age up to young adults.
Our Program Directors have Bachelor Degrees in the fields of Early Childhood Education, Physical Education, Kinesiology, and Adult Fitness. Our staff are USA Gymnastics Professional Members who are Safety, CPR & First Aid certified. Besides these credentials, all staff meet monthly for educational training programs, attend clinics and are encouraged to be constantly learning new methods in their area of expertise.
Since 1980, Columbia Academy is proud of the many successful children (both educationally and athletically) who have trained at our facility. We enthusiastically look forward to teaching boys and girls the important life lessons of perserverance, success & failure, challenges, and being fearless. I invite you to read more about our center and what it can offer your family.
Sue Krum, founder and President of Columbia Academy, Inc.

Our goal is for children to learn to accept challenges with a cooperative attitude that helps develop physical, mental and emotional strength and a sense of community.

Our Mission “We Train Champions For Life!”
Success in sports and fitness requires dedication, perserverance, self-discipline and the desire to achieve specific goals. These attributes transfer over to school, family and work ethics for a child’s entire life. It is our desire at Columbia Academy to assist children in achieving these goals that hopefully lead to a healthy life—physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
